~~ How to install MiGiC Evo for Mac ~~
This release consists of four files:
    * Install MiGiC Evo.pkg - Installer
    * MiGiC Evo.app - Standalone
    * MiGiC Evo.component - Audio Unit
    * MiGiC Evo.vst - VST

There are two ways to install MiGiC Evo for Mac:
1. (Preferred way) Run the installer (Install MiGiC Evo.pkg)
    - Simply double click Install MiGiC Evo.pkg and follow
      the instructions provided by the installer.
    - If this for some reason fails, you have the possibility to
      install the software using option 2. (see below)

2. Manually place the standalone and the plugins on your disk.
    - Place the standalone version (MiGiC Evo.app) under /Applications
    - Place the plugins under:
        -- VST (MiGiC Evo.vst): /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
        -- Audio Unit (MiGiC Evo.component): /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

~~ Starting MiGiC for the first time ~~
1. Standalone
    - The first time you try to open the standalone version you need to open it through Finder
      and right click (or ctrl-click) on the application, from the menu you need click on "open".
      This needs to be done in order to open an application that is not acquired from the mac app store.
      Otherwise, FileVault wont let you open the application.
    - If you have incompatible plugins installed on your Mac, MiGiC may crash a few times in order
      to get through the validation of your plugins. Don't panic, MiGiC will start when it has run through
      all your plugins (which may take a few restarts).
    - IMPORTANT: Make sure you have the correct audio settings!
        -- Click on "Options" (top right corner) and then "Audio device settings". Here, you select the interface
           to which your guitar is connected to. On the same topic, make sure that you use a low
           "Audio buffer size" such as 32, 64 or 128 in order to keep the latency low.

2. VST and Audio Unit
    - You need to find MiGiC in your host/DAW/audio software and apply it to an AUDIO track.
    - Once applied to an audio track, MiGiC will create a virtual MIDI port ti which you can
      set your software instruments to listen to.
    - The VST plugin also supports outputting MIDI through the audio track.
    - Depending on host/DAW/audio software, it can be tricky to figure out how to route everything
      and unfortunately the procedure differs between different hosts/DAWs/audio software.
      There are some tutorials avaliable for some DAWs on our YouTube channel:

~~ Tips and tricks ~~
1. IMPORTANT: Please make sure that you are running a low buffer size such as 32, 64 or 128 for e.g. 44.1khz.
   In all other cases you WILL experience latency due to the time it takes for the audio to reach MiGiC before
   the processing can be started.
2. Start with the default preset and make small changes to the parameters.
3. Guitar to MIDI conversion always comes with a tradeoff between accuracy and latency. In MiGiC Evo this can be
   controlled by the user through the confidence knob. A low level gives lower latency, however, you need to play
   cleaner and more distinct in order to get accurate results. On the other hand a high value lets you play sloppier
   and still get accurate results, however, with higher latency.
